Very Good/Very Good. 11x9x1. 1989 signed and inscribed first edition, Stewart, Tabori and Chang (New York), 9 1/4 x 12 1/4 inches tall red cloth hardc over in publisher's unclipped dust jacket, blind stamp lettering to front cover, blue lettering to spine, copiously illustrated with mostly full color photographs, 256 pp. Very slight rubbing and edgewear to covers. On the blank front free-endpaper, nicely inscribed and signed by both auithors. Otherwise, a very good to near fine copy - clean, bright and unmarked - in an only slightly edgeworn dust jacket which is nicely preserved and displayed in a clear Brodart sleeve. Note that this is a heavy and oversized book, so additional postage will be required for international or priority orders. ~SP38~ [5.0P] A tribute to 17 self-taught artists and craftsmen who live in the mountains between Virginia and Alabama. The book contains interviews with these people and examples of their art. They include sculptors, painters, carvers and weavers who together maintain the traditions of folk art.
