The original work by Sir John Lubbock, a banker, politician, scientist and polymath. He wrote several works on Hymenoptera, insects, the intelligence of animals and other works of natural history, and kept a correspondence with Charles Darwin. This edition is based on the seventeenth edition of his work, with additional notes by J G Myers and illustrations by A J E Terzi. In a cloth binding. Externally, in excellent condition with just some wear to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Near Fine
