First edition [16 inc title page] + 516pp + 12pp original folding map, arms of the See to rear of tital page [this and the title heading oposite have been neatly coloured n at a later date] 2 other plates are present in facsimile, A few page edges have sm closed tears repaired with what appears to be margins from sheets of stamps ! Small unobtrusive water stains to bottom margin of 4 leaves and in gutter of part of appendix and index. Beautifully bound in recent full speckled calf, raised bands to spine with gilt motifs , leather spine labe, new endapers; Folio .
