Octavo 17x13 cm., wrappers, 16pp. Superb cover design by Pavel Semenovich Naumov (1884-1942), renowned graphic artist. Hasenclever's play was written in 1916 during the war and staged by Tairov in 1928. A description of the play by Hasenclever, with additional notes by Shenshin for the music, and a six-page essay by Aleksandr Tairov. Photos of the cast are included, with frontispiece portrait of Tairov. OCLC locates one holding worldwide (Harvard). A fine copy.
