London: Longmans, Green, and Co, 1933.. Hardcover. Good. Second impression. Good octavo hardcover in light blue binding without dust jacket. Wear and rubbing along the edges of the boards with bumping to the head and heel of the spine and on the corners of the panels. Covers are a little scuffed, soiled, and browned, espcially along the spine. Pages are lightly browned and just a little bit stiff. Name of previous owner on the front free endpaper. Previous owner was Wolfgang Stolper, the noted economist best known for his work on international trade and on Schumpeterian economics. Some pencil mathematics on the rear free endpaper. 206 pages with notes, 4 appendices (1. the minimum standard house, 2. the effect of subsidies on building prices, 3. the probable increase in the number of families in 1932-41 and 1942-1951, 4. differential renting), tables, and index. A look at the British housing situation during the interwar years.
