In this book the author claims that was his ancestor, Ebenezer Anstruther, who actually discovered Australia. "Ebenezer, it appears, used to be Captain Cook's cook. It was he, not James, who sailed in the Endeavour, and later published a working title ' discovery of Australia by James' cook.'. Cook, Ebenezer claimed, pinched the proofs and changed it to ' discovery of Australia by James Cook.'
