Edinburgh & London: Cadell and Co. , and Simpkin & Marshall. Good with no dust jacket. 1829. First Edition. Hardcover. A re-backed 3 volume,1st Edition, set. Each volume in identical (presumed original) green pebbled cloth-covered boards with a newer, very similarly coloured, green cloth spine, and a Blue blocked, Gilt bordered, Gilt Title to the spine of each volume. New lemon endpapers to each book. Corners bumped and rubbed with age. Lacks all half-titles and advertisements, all books start with the title page after the new endpapers. Quite heavy foxing (browny-yellow spotting/patching) throughout to all volumes. Bindings very tight, all hinges sound, and, apart from the foxing, the text is clear and otherwise clean. No Inscriptions or other marks.
