Octavo, original blue cloth, illustrated throughout. Near fine a very good price-clipped dust jacket. Translated from the French by Nea Morin and Janet Adam Smith. With an introduction by Eric Shipton. First editions are rare and desirable signed.

The distinguished French mountaineer MAURICE HERZOG was leader of the 1950 expedition to Annapurna. He was one of the two climbers to reach the summit.
