Black cloth. 8vo. pp. xlii, 438. VG. Caps and corners worn; tightly bound. Contains 435 page introduction describing the various instruments developed for the science of meteorology: the automatic registering and printing barometer; the standard barometer; the anemograph; the metereograph accompanied with illustrations and a description of a new method for the automatic registration of meteorological phenomenon. An appendix contains 36 lithograph sheets, exhibiting the state of the weather, and the indications of the different instuments for every hour of the day for three years..
