About This Item
Cook & Davis, Binghamton, NY, 1840. 7 3/8" X 4 3/4" in spiffy brown cloth. A little wear at the spine ends and corners, but not bad. I am not sure that this is the ORIGINAL binding. However the lettering looks old. The paper of the flyleaf and endpapers appears to be laid paper, however it is not moderately foxed as the balance of the book is. A. Birdsall, a prior owner, signed his name on the title page. Ausburn Birdsall was at one time the district attorney of Broome County, NY., and served in congress from 1847-1849. Later, he served as supply supervisor of the U.S. Navy. There is a BIRDSALL ST. in nearby Endicott, NY. 256pp: GOOD PLUS.. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket.
