Baltimore: Century of Progress, 1932. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. First Thus. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Previous owner name and date 6/26/41 neatly on the front endpaper. Bright lime green boards with black and gilt lettering. The Century of Progress Series titles are listed on the inside of the DJ. Originally copyrighted by The Williams & Wilkins Company in 1932. Allee was a professor of Zoology at The University of Chicago and was a mentor of Edward F. Ricketts, "Doc" of Cannery Row fame. Steinbeck and Ricketts studied the tide pools using Allee's methods..
