About This Item
New York: Corinth Books, 1962. Paperback. 159p., pages evenly browned, else in very good condition. The six writers whose articles comprise this volume are relatively unknown professionals who participated in the desegregation struggles of the 1950s and early 1960s. Articles by Mitchell and Robert B. Gore are important for their perspectives on the early sit-ins; other articles include a historical perspective by Charles B. Robson, "The Beginnings of a New Age" by Montgomery Improvement Association secretary Edgar N. French, F. Henderson Moore's "School Desegregation," and Peace's "The South Reacts.
