About This Item

E. P. Dutton. Very good in a very good jacket - no markings, light wear. . Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 1981.

Synopsis

Joyce Carol Oates's Angel of Light is about the Halleck family in Washington in 1980.  The father, Maurice, is found dead from an apparent suicide - but his children, Kirsten and Owen are certain that it was their mother and her new lover that did him in. This free-form book sometimes uses stream of consciousness and jumpy timelines to increase the sense of mystery and confusion as Kirsten and Owen exact any revenge they can.
