About This Item
Chicago: The Lakeside Press, 1875. Book is Fair after extensive repairs. Book has been resewn, many pages (particularly through p. 42 and final several pages) have had repairs to edges and corners, original endpapers have been replaced, and original leather spine has been replaced with black-cloth spine. Additionally, remaining half of title page has been mounted on plain paper and rebound into book. Even after repairs, some leaves have ceases, short edge tears, and small, missing chips. Boards and leather corners are well worn, and hand-penciled numbers are present on one page in Index. Andreas atlases are notorious for bad pagination, and this volume is no exception; it has two pages numbered 122, and 16 leaves appear to be missing. All county maps are present, however, and none of the missing leaves are listed in the index, so the missing leaves are probably the result of bad pagination. This atlas contains views of Iowa's Seventh Congressional District. . Hard Cover. Fair. Elephant Folio - over 15" - 23" tall.
