Condition: Near Fine in a Near Fine dust jacket. *** The Books of Chilam Balam are nine books written in Yucatec Maya which preserve many of the customs, myths and traditions of the Mayan people. The "Chilam Balam" was a priest or prophet who lived in the last decades of the fifteenth century and foretold the arrival of "strangers from the East". Some of the Books of Chilam Balam are copies of more ancient texts originally written in hieroglyphic manuscripts.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Near Fine.
