About This Item

Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 1961. This unusual work by one of Germany's leading Egyptologists relates the successive phases of Egypt's history to the natural characteristics of the geography itself. The book is in Very Good condition with a Poor unclipped dust jacket. The book is boun in salmon-colored cloth, with gilt spine lettering. The dust jacket has various closed tears and is missing over half the spine area. I've placed the dust jacket into a Brodart protective sleeve. The book is tightly bound and includes photo inserts and maps. The former owner has underlined in ink on a number of pages in the text. The book measures 5 3/4 by 8 3/4 inches and includes 392 pages.. First American Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Poor. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
