Lavishly illustrated in b&w (with red ornamentation appearing only on the half-title and title pages), with photos and winsome line drawings. Condition notes: A worn but solid copy of a delightful study of life and thought on Athos. Gray boards moderately soiled, corners bumped, spine slightly cocked, edges lightly tanned and soiled. Former ownership stamp ("Rt. Rev. Archimandrite, George Kazaka") to handsomely illustrated half-title page. Interior pages tanned with a few corners turned down and historic moisture rippling evident to last quarter of the volume, without any sticking or odors observed. A lovely edition to add to an Athonite or Orthodoxy library. We personally inspect every book we offer.
