Tempe, Arizona: Veterans of Underage Military Service, 2006. Near Fine condition in a Good dust jacket. The jacket is bright and shiny but has short closed tears at the edges. NOT a library discard. Sharp corners. NO owner's name or bookplate. A few words on one page are highlighed in yellow noting a Congressional Medal of Honor winner. A previous owner has written a name and the page number of a biography (his own?) on the front endpaper. There is a small spot (1/4 inch in diameter) at the fore-edge affecting 1/16 inch of a few pages at their outer margin only. Otherwise pages are crisp and clean. 2006. Volume III only. This volume contains the stories of 191 young men and women who served in the US armed forces before they attained the legal age for enlistment. Most were 15 or 16, some as young as 12. Each biographical profile includes their photograph and an account of their service. Bound in the original gold-stamped blue cloth. Complete with dust jacket.. 1st ed?
