From the front DJ flap: "America's Colorful Railroads - the first all-color book on the subject - captures in 281 full-color photographs the period in railroad history, the 1940s and '50s, that brought the transition from steam to diesel engines."

Book - Very Good- condition. Black leather texture paper over boards with gray cloth spine that has black text. Light edge and corner wear with a couple small bumps at bottom. Light stain on front end paper. Text is clean and binding is tight. Lots of beautiful color photographs.

Dust Jacket - Good- condiiton. Outside color is good, but inside has age tanning. Also there are small closed tears and tiny chips along the bottom, plus a medium size chip at top of spine.
