The American Historical Society. Somerville, NJ. 1941. First Edition., 1941 Magazine size about 8 by 11 inches with some 131 pages plus several full page plates. Bound in white wraps with color coats-of-arms illustration. An important first appearance of the W Freeman Galpin book on Indians and French of the Inland Empire (Mostly New York State) before the book publication later in the year. His article here encompassing some 55 pages is titled 'Indians and French of the Inland Empire'. Another article on 'Ernst and Allied Families' including two color plates showing some dozen coats-of-arms. And others. The covers are larger than the text block which results in covers edge wear.
