New York, NY: D. Appleton & Co.. Very Good in Very Good- dust jacket. 1923. 1st Edition; 1st Printing. Hardcover. This book is in Very Good condition and has a Very Good dust jacket. The book and its contents are in generally clean, bright condition. The spine ends and corners of the book covers have some light bumping and wear. The paper labels on the front cover and spine of the book are clean and bright. The text pages are clean and bright. There is a strip of gray paper adhered to the spine hinge of the front endpaper. Illustrated throughout with photographs of the authors. The dust jacket has some edge wear, rubbing and several small edge tears and chips missing. There is a glue residue to the bottom front flap joint and rear bottom panel, along with ground-in dirt. "Journalist, literary critic, editor, and novelist. Worked for the New York Sun 1906-1908, 1910, editorial writer, 1916, and literary editor 1918-19. He worked for George H. Doran, book publisher, and was Editor of Colliers 1924-27. Author of at least ten books and editor of collections of short stories." (from Wikipedia) .
