Pictorial endpapers. #526 of a limited first edition of 1050 copies. Bound in elaborate gilt decorated green cloth boards with titles present to the spine and decoration present to the front board. Boards have shelf-wear present to the extremities (boards are scuffed and worn to the extremities especially at the corners and the spine ends). Previous owner's bookplate present to the FFEP. Offsetting present to the title page. Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. Includes chapters on the old-fashioned garden, the naturalistic garden, the wild garden, the rock garden, the water garden, trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, bulbs, roses, vines, and garden furniture. EB; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 368 pages .
