Quite heavy rubbing to lower edges of boards.; First American edition of a title originally published in England in 1496 by Wynkyn de Worde, when it was added to de Worde's 1496 edition of the Boke of St. Albans. [2 (blank)], 118, [2 (blank)] pages. Brown pebble grain cloth boards with gilt lettering on front board. Black border to front board. Page dimensions: 173 x 131mm. All page edges dyed red. Yellow endpapers. With a 7 page Preface to the American Edition. Illustrations on pages [28 (frontispiece)], 50, 55, 58, 59, 60. .
