First edition, so stated, in the publisher's original black cloth with spine lettering gilt on a lined blue panel, octavo, pp. x, 467. Black and white illustrations. GOOD condition with just light shelf wear. Dust jacket has some chipping and erosion at spine ends and flap fold tips. A short vertical tear at top edge of jacket's front panel was mended from behind by previous owner with a small piece of tape. Jacket is protected now in a new sheet of removable Brodart.
