Elephant Folio - over 15" - 23" tall. 7 parts in 6 portfolios, (1927 - 1929), complete, each hardcover, no dust jackets., elephant folio; original printed portfolio boards with maroon cloth spines; portfolios for Parts I, II, III, IV-V have names Paul Wenzel and Maurice Krakow and different NY street address from Portfolios for Parts V-VI and VII; portfolio boards are lightly soiled with light to moderate wear at edges and corners, but are substantially intact and protective; portfolios for Plates in Parts IV-V, VI, and VII are from public library, but plates are unmarked; some plate edges are lightly to moderately chipped with more severe chipping to plate XX of Part V, but no affect on images; light occasional browning to blank margins, but all plates clean with clear photographic images; uncommon in complete state with all 140 plates and preface by Lewis Mumford and separate title sheets to volumes and some parts; portfolio marked Parts V-VI contains only the 20 plates for Part VI; the 20 plates of Part V are in portfolio marked Parts IV-V; all other plates are contained in correctly marked portfolios.
