About This Item
Used book has little to no markings, writing from the previous owner. No DJ. Slight bumping, rubbing, fading on the top, spine, edges, corners. Outer page edges with tanning, browning, stains and foxing. Guttering has happened in the front of the book and the half title page is torn from the tail to the middle. No pages are loose and binding is still tight. America, My Wilderness is a picaresque novel of a homeless wanderer in America. Perhaps it is the stoic aspects of eastern philosophy and religion that drew him, for the sensibility in his novels is very nearly Buddhist in its overall detachment while remaining Romantic in its particulars. Whatever it was, the world he has imagined will likely strike you so powerfully that you will choose to return more than once. 1972. T1.
