Sir Isaac Pitman & Sons, Ltd, London, 1930. Reprint. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition (ex-library)/No Dust Jacket. Illustrator: Illustrated. Preface by the author, preface to the first edition, abbreviated titles for references, to appendices, bibliography and index. The text is illustrated with black-and-white line drawings, figures and formulae. Blue coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured illustration and titles to the front panel and gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Title does say at all. This book is an ex-library copy: – from the Munitions Supply Board Library. Library stamps to the free front end page and title page, along with cancellation stamps. Library barcode to the lower edge of the title page and to the top left hand corner of the front panel. The number "884" has been placed on the corners of the end pages – both front and rear, top right hand corners of the half title page and title page. Library sticker to the lower edge of the back strip. Softening, rubbing and fraying of the top back strip edge with rubbing and softening of the lower back strip edge. Bumping and rubbing of the book corners. There is a small, 0.25", split to the top right hand corner of the back strip and a smaller tear to the middle of the same area. There is 1/2 inch tear to the lower right-hand corner of the back strip. Rubbing either side of the back strip, book edges and of the panels. Light tanning of the text block edges and age toning of the pages. There is some notations on the free front end page – please see photograph. Second Edition Revised and enlarged. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [4], V - XVI, 391, [26 – of which twenty-one are further titles from publishing house] pages,. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Illustrator: Illustrated.
