This 48 page hardback book is bound in beige cloth and blue decorated boards and is in good sound condition with some rubs to edges and extremities. ""We are virtually at war,"" states the mystery writer/playwright/novelist, and ""I am giving a son to the service of his country."" Two years after returning from Europe where she witnessed the start of WWI, Rinehart reflects on America's role in the War and the role of American mothers on the homefront, and she demands that our government put aside party politics and supply our troops with professional military leaders as well as adequate training for the Front. mxx

With sticker on rear pastedown from Preservation Technologies stating this was deacidified with their patented process. We purchased a large number of similarly bound Rinehart books from a local institution that was deaccessioning duplicates and were told that these were Rinehart family copies, but have no proof of this.
