Large format hardcover, quarto bound in black cloth with spine lettered in gold, in publisher's black and gold dust-jacket. 95 pages. Introduction by Rowan Watson. Illustrated throughout in color and black and white, printed primarily on rectos, though not exclusively. Reprint edition by Barnes and Noble, originally published in 1845. The original nineteenth-century graphic study of medieval letter forms and ornament, as well as an important source for the Gothic Revival Style. No previous ownership marks. A clean, tight and unmarked copy. Dust-jacket shows one small tape repair on verso Very good+ in a very good dust-jacket. .
