Illustrated with striking double page lithographs in ten colors by Russian/Ukranian avante-garde artist Alexandra Exter (1882-1949), a constructivist painter, friend of Picasso and Bracque in Paris - and one who worked in many fields from a peasant craft cooperative in Ukraine, to stage designing, costume design, original illuminated manuscripts and more. In her later years she became known for her illustrations for the publisher Flammarion. Large format. unpaginated.
