Illustrated with 20 full page plates, including portrait frontis-piece, Holograph extract from a letter from Mr. H. Rider Haggard to Messrs. Harper & Brothers printed on the front endpage. First authorized American edition. No previous ownership marks. Covers show light age wear but a generally clean and square. Hinges strong, all pages firmly attached. Text very clean. Scans sent on request. A near very good copy of one of Haggard's best known and most popular novels.. First Edition. Cloth Spine Over Boards. Near Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
