Description:
London: A. C. Fitfield, 1916. Later edition. Hardcover. Good/no jacket. Harold Monro's copy, with his pencil signature and date on the fly leaf. Monro was a poet and the owner of The Poetry Bookshop in London. 1916, later edition of this work, published as part of the publisher's 'Complete Samuel Butler' series. Hardcover, original red cloth. Spine faded and discolored; bumping and shelfwear to the spine ends and corners. Sound binding. Unmarked text. Small note in pencil on the rear blank 'See pp. 46 / 51-53' that appears to also be in Monro's hand, but we're not positive. A cool association copy.
