[S.l.: S.n.], 1983. Inscribed by Agnes Moffat Magee to Canadian historian Desmond Morton on front flyleaf. First edition. Hardcover. Very good in gilt lettered publisher's cloth. A tight, clean and otherwise unmarked copy. Russell Magee (1906-1972) was a noted Canadian surgeon. Magee studied under Edward Gallie at the University of Toronto; joined the Canadian Army Medical Corps in 1942 and was stationed with the 20th Canadian General Hospital in Europe. Magee wrote these letters to his wife Agnes, also a doctor, while in service..
