Jacket design by Leo Manso. Frontispiece of photos. Inscribed and signed by the author on front free endpaper. Slight wear to lower edges of case and small bump to upper tip of rear board. Very slight soiling to text block edges, with a scattering of foxing to fore-edge. Interior pristine. Dog-ear corner crease to leaf 193/194. Unclipped dust jacket shows edgewear, rubbing, several closed tears, and chipping, primarily at head and tail of spine. Dust jacket now in archival protective sleeve. The harrowing story of the author's six-year ordeal, from her prosperous middle-class family home in Poland, through her enslavement by the Nazis regime, to her liberation by American troops.
