About This Item
The classic 12th century story of a group of Robin Hood style robbers in China. Considered one of the classics of Chinese literature. The story is translated by Pearl S. Buck, who grew up in China and who ultimately won the Nobel Peace Prize for her work and writing there. This story was one of her favorites. The are 32 original full page illustrations by Miguel Covarrubias. The book is in excellent condition. Listed near fine + because it is sunned on the spine. Encased in a plain cardboard slipcover which has a lot of shelf wear and a big stain on the top, but it's structurally intact and it did its job.

About mark mcdonald
Book collector for over 30 years. I'm retired and ready to sell. I buy almost exclusively from estate sales and since I've lived in Dallas my whole life, I know the people and where to go. I am a low volume collector and seller and deal in higher quality books. I have a lot of signed and inscribed books. These signatures have not been officially authenticated, but I am confident in their authenticity so I will guarantee them in perpetuity if it can be reasonably demonstrated that the signature is incorrect. .
