Each page shows a little boy preparing for the day. He is shown snapping his undershorts, buttoning his shirt, zipping up his trousers, buckling his belt, putting his hankie into his pocket and tying his shoes. For each action there are real items (botton, belt buckle, snap, hankie) etc. that the little reader can use for practice. Text is in verse.

Youngstown, Ohio: Plakie Toys, 1950. Illustrated throughout with color art reproductions. All pages [ten unpaginated] are printed on linen, sewn binding is sound. It is a story about a boy learning to dress himself and in addition to the colored drawings, six pages have various small, actual items of clothing sewn onto them: a snap, a button, a zipper, a buckle with part of a belt, a corner of a hankie and the top part of a shoe with laces tied into a bow. Each page has one or two small, mild spots, front cover page has several. They all appear to be age discolorations rather than dirt stains. The top and bottom of the pages are zig zag cut and may be prone to a little fraying. Media Mail, Priority & most international shipping include free tracking information.
