Originally published in 1974, this is the story of a Uruguayan plane carrying a rugby team and 25 friends and relations that disappeared in the Andes in 1972. Believed lost, two men survived and were found ten weeks later. A miraculous story of survival. In fine unread condition with gold gilt designs, page edges and bound-in silk bookmark. Piers Paul Read is the author of many books, both fiction and nonfiction, including "Monk Dawson," "Alice in Exile," "Ablaze: The Story of Chernobyl" and "Alec Guiness." Includes a Publisher's Note and Certificate of Authenticity from Easton Press. A fine copy.
