Miss de Volt made her professional debut at Boston while still a student at the Girls' Latin School. After graduating from the New England Conservatory of Music, where she built a firm musical foundation, she continued her study of the harp in Vienna, with Alfred Holy, world famous harpist of the Boston Symphony, the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonic Societies, and the Bayreuth Festivals.
