"Alexander Sharp (d. 1795), a son of James Sharp of Edinburgh, Scotland, was the first Sharp in America. Alexander was pressed into military service at the age of 17 in Liverpool and was in Canada prior to the American Revolution. He married Hester Campbell (1769-1828) in or near St. John, New Brunswick; they raised their family in Woodstock, New Brunswick.". Soft Cover.
