Dark green cloth with gilt lettering, rough cut pages, color frontispiece features portrait of Alexander Legge, decorated title page, illustrated with black and white photographs throughout, 232 pp. Privately printed by the Alexander Legge Memorial Committee. "The life story of a truly great American who loved and served his Country well, who achieved world-wide distinction as an industrial leader, as a patriotic public servant and as the devoted friend and champion of all who tilled the soil." An interesting and informative biography of farming implement industrial leader Alexander Legge, also known for his role in developing the Treaty of Versailles, for which he was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal. Discolorations where color is wearing off rear board, former owner name stamped in several places, rear endpaper has some foxing, text block tight, clean and appears gently read. Very good..
