N.p.: N.p., 1923. Paperback. Wide small 4to. Stiff pictorial wrappers. (11pp). Numerous color illustration. Near fine. Bit of age toning to outer wrapper only -- tight and internally fine. A lovely first edition of this rather cryptic crash course, color images of 48 numbered major bird species with brief text at close elaborating on each. Gilbert did a similar "Wild Flowers and State Flowers of North America" booklet that accompanied a hardbound book of the same title in 1930, but we find no equivalent book version of this bird study, which was apparently never published.
