A photo essay of Alaska combining stunning photographs by Galen Rowell and selected narratives from Coming Into The Country by John McPhee; the prose excerpts were chosen by Rowell. This unique arrangement between a gifted photographer and gifted writer, both well acquainted with Alaska, makes for a rich book.
