HATFIELD BOOKS AND MEMORABILIA, a FIVE STAR SELLER, presents THE AIR-CONDITIONED NIGHTMARE by HENRY MILLER, who had previously written TROPIC OF CANCER and TROPIC OF CAPRICORN. In 1939, Miller returned to the U.S. after being abroad for 10 years. The 18 essays contained in THE AIR-CONDITIONED NIGHTMARE represent the author's impressions of this country as a recent "outsider." 4 1/4" x 7", 255 page paperback. Overall condition is FINE. Pages = AS NEW. No marks of any kind. Cover (alternating pink and brown glossy paper with particulars in yellow, pink and white) = Near Fine: light wear to top and bottom edges, 3/4" tear to bottom of spine, else tight, sharp, colorful, clear, square.
