San Francisco: UE-F.A.T., 2000. Single sheet 8.5x11 inches on marigold paper printed one side only with clenched fist logo surrounded by the words Alliance Alianza and the speakers and performers appearing at the ILWU Union Hall in S.F.

NP: UE, 1978. Wraps. Very good. 8vo, wraps, very good. 68 pp, illustrated. With articles on equal rights, civil liberties and the future of organized labor.

Pittsburgh: UE, 1998. Pamphlet. 16p., illustrated with sample drawings from a variety of cartoonists (plus instructions for an auction of important pieces, organized by the Labor Party National convention coming up in Pittsburgh), presswork on nice alkaline paperstock and staple-fastened into an 11x8.5 inch self-wraps pamphlet. An immaculate copy: sound, clean and unmarked.

This small octavo publication is fine in photographic card wrappers, no tears or marks as it has been protected by a stiff card envelope. This book comes from the Franklin Delano Roosevelt collection of Frederick Baldwin Adams Jr, 1910 - 2001, the son of Ellen Walters Delano who was a first cousin to President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Adams became a passionate bibliophile who served as director of the Pierpont Morgan Library in New York City for two decades and compiled a significant personal collection relating to F.D.R.. In 1969 he married his third wife who was a Swedish princess and with whom he shared the final years of his life in France. Adams' move to France explains the presence of his books in the United Kingdom. Fine 1954

San Jose and Sunnyvale: UE Organizing Committee, [196-]. An assemblage of materials from UE organizers, mostly working with Westinghouse electrical workers. Mainly from the mid-1960s. Most are 8.5x14 or 8.5x11 inch mimeographed sheets. A large proportion are connected with election campaigning against the competing IBEW, one from 1960 is defensive about the right of the "red" UE to work on security-related projects such as atomic submarine parts. All have two neat holes punched at top for filing; this doesn't impinge on more than one or two letters of the textual content. Otherwise mostly crisp and clean.

Bound volume of this digest sized union periodical, 7.5 x 5.25 inches, with 18 issues bound together, each about 20-25 pp., illustrated, with articles on union activities, worker rights, civil rights (much on African-Americans and women in the work force and how to provide them equal protection and equal wages), politics, poetry, union politics and philosophy. An interesting time in the history of this rank-and-file worker-run union.
