John Lane The Bodley Head. London 1904.. No inscription but ownership stamp. Spine dulled, mostly square corners with minor rubbing, front board very clean and most attractive. small split head of spine, rear hinge starting but still sound, one plate loose, hence overall in near VG condition. giant map in rear pocket is in excellent condition with no tears.. Gilt on dec. blue boards. teg. 275pp illustrated 8vo. 0.9kg. The author was in charge of the 1898 to 1900 expedition to Marotseland which was supported by grants from the Royal Geographical Society, Sir John Ardagh of British Military Intelligence, and the British South Africa Chartered Company.

Any Duties levied by Customs Depts on entry to the purchaser's country are payable by the purchaser. Fables Bookshop are not liable for duties and such charges levied on purchases. Neither are Fables liable for material seized on entry to other countries on account of political or other restrictions.

Trade Discount only to members of their respective national book dealer association. ie. ABA, ABAA, ANZAAB, etc.

All items sent by courier, trackable.

Local Deliveries: Standard Rate is via Pudo, Locker-to-Locker. Expedited Rate refers to use of either Fedex or Postnet if required by customer.

Overseas Deliveries: Standard Rate will use courier out of South Africa and then will utilise local postal service for 'last mile' deliveries. Expedited Rate will utilise full courier service.

Canadian customers please query us for delivery rate. Currently Canada is in International Postal Zone F, along with Australia, and the price quoted can probably be reduced to Canada
