London: The Adventurers Club, 1959. Adventurers Club edition. Some creasing to edges of unclipped dustwrapper, a couple of scratches to front panel and a scuff-mark to back, minor bumping to spine ends of green boards, but otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. Originally published in 1958, this is a later, undated "Adventurers Club" edition, probably from a year or so later. The author's account, as told to a Roland Goodchild, of his travels in Baluchistan (now part of Pakistan) and Afghanistan in pursuit of a Baluchi gang who were stealing weapons and ammunition from British military depots. At the time (the end of WW2), the author was working with the Special Investigations Branch of the British Army. 190pp... Book Club (BCE/BOMC). Hard Cover. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
