Áfangar is Serra's environmental artwork of 18 basalt colums on the Icelandic island of Videy, off of Reykjavik. The title, taken from Icelandic poet Jón Helgason's poem of the same name, means "way stations." Serra's columns are the markers where you stop and take a measure of where you are in your course through the landscape.
