About This Item
London & New York: Franklin Watts, 1971. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. The interior of the book is crisp and clean. There is a small sticker pull on the front free end paper, but no other marks, signatures or even signs of earlier use. The illustrated covers are fresh, showing next to no wear. The dust jacket (repeats the cover illustration) is price-clipped, but is otherwise in excellent condition, with no wear or damage. The attached scan should give a better idea of condition. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover.
Synopsis
Aesop, known only for the genre of fables ascribed to him, was a slave in the mid-sixth century BC in Greece. He is assumed to have written many of these curious moral parables, and they have been added to and translated into many languages since they were first collected.
