The letters of George William Russell (1867-1935 pseudonym AE) to Kingsley Porter, whose side of the correspondence is missing as AE destroyed all letters written to him, except those received during his last illness. Russell was an Irish writer, editor, critic, poet, painter and Irish nationalist. He was also a writer on mysticism, and a central figure in the group of devotees of theosophy which met in Dublin for many years. Lightly age-toned text block edges, else, Pristine, no wear. Clean, tight and strong binding with no other underlining, highlighting or marginalia. Green cloth with gilt lettering to spine..
