About This Item

San Francisco: Chronicle Books, 1997. 144pp. Or cloth backed textured boards in riveted aluminium slipcase. Tall, narrow volume. Max Morgan was the owner of Paris' Aerobleu jazz nightclub, notorious for its all night jam sessions. He diappeared from HAvana in the late 1950s leaving behind some of the best Jazz ever played and a state of mind that has come to be known as "Aerobleu". Long believed lost, Max's diary is here reproduced as he wrote it. Both a personal and historical document, it records his adventures in Casablanca, Dakar and Algiers as well as his famous airborne jam sessions to the US, and his increasingly frequent secret trips to Havana.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fine/Slipcase. 4to.
